“Play to Protect Futures, Educate, Prevent, and End Cycles of Violence.”
This project develops innovative board games that educate young children of all genders about the realities of Human/Child trafficking and Gender-Based Violence. Designed to be engaging and age-appropriate, the games instill values of respect, safety, and empathy, empowering children to reject exploitation and violence. By teaching through play, the initiative aims to educate, prevent, and break the vicious cycles of Human and Child Trafficking, GBV&F, ensuring that children grow into a generation of protectors rather than perpetrators or victims.

“Sponsor Hope, Stop Harm, Together Ending Trafficking and GBV.”
Amidst the escalating issues of Human/Child Trafficking and Gender-based Violence in South Africa, the rest of the continent & beyond, ACT Africa has launched a board game initiative to educate young students in schools globally, focusing on Africa, about these critical subjects.
The board games, utilizing play as an educational tool, aim to impart a comprehensive understanding of the various facets of these issues. The belief is that by instilling accurate knowledge about Human Trafficking and Gender-based Violence from an early age, it can shape perspectives.
Positive Feedback has been received, post rollout of N2V board-game at schools/shelters in South Africa. Approx 23,000 children thus far have access to N2V board-game.
“Corrective learning today, ending tomorrow’s cycles of violence and trafficking.”
The project harnesses corrective learning to break harmful cycles, ensuring children grow into empowered individuals who reject violence and exploitation. By equipping them with knowledge, resilience, and values, it prevents future involvement in gender-based violence or Human Trafficking, whether as victims, perpetrators, or recruiters, creating a generation committed to dignity, safety, and justice.. By recognizing warning signs and advocating against these issues, they can contribute to reducing the prevalence and breaking the cycle.
The target is to engage 13 million school children across 25,000 schools in South Africa to start, followed by the rest of the African continent and beyond. The games, designed to be group interactive, challenging, and engaging, cater to students aged 10 to 18+, employing language that is both age-appropriate and easy to grasp.
The content addresses stereotypes, provides definitions, scenarios, myth busters, offers safety tips & measures regarding Human Trafficking & GBV&F, provides the consequences of these issues, and shares additional relevant information.
Our organization acknowledges that educational play is an effective method to not only educate but also to sustain the attention of children for extended periods.
Depending on volume (minimum order 50 boardgames) ranges from (USD) $14.50 to $58 excl. delivery and can be purchased at orders@actafrica.org.za.
“Partner in Prevention, Driving CSI Impact Against Trafficking and GBV.”
We are proud to announce that N2V has received endorsement from the Gauteng Department of Social Development and Department of Women, Youth & Persons with Disabilities. Our board game has been incorporated into the Victim Empowerment Programme of GDSD, specifically within the sheltering programme, to help prevent and break the cycle of Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) at the grassroots level. This partnership enables us to reach and empower both children and adults, promoting a safer and more supportive community for all.
